Edward J. Byrne Justice Assistance Grant Program

The Edward J. Byrne Justice Assistance Grant Program allows states and local governments to support a broad range of programs to prevent illegal drug activities, control violent crime and improve the criminal justice system. BJAG replaces the Byrne Formula and Local Law Enforcement Block Grant (LLEBG) programs with a single funding mechanism that simplifies the administration process for grantees.
